Episode 3 - Avoiding the Finish Line

You can listen to the episode here.

Local Weather

Peter enjoys sunny and snowless (for now) Wisconsin (54 F / 12 C) while Deirdre is happy to see a cloudy day for once in San Diego (65 F / 12 C).

What's Up?
Peter inches closer to finishing his Expedition Pullover by Todd Gocken and is pretty sure he's knitting blue Regatta Socks by Anne Hanson with MacKintosh Yarns sock yarn.

Deirdre toiled through blisters and burning hands to finish up a pair of Bamboo Socks (by Lorraine Ehrlinger out of Trekking XXL) for the show announcer and turns her attention to an Ethereal Fichu (by Jackie Erickson-Schweitzer in Buffboo lace weight) for Buffalo Gold.

I Want That
Deirdre likes the unique patterns from Anne Kuo Lukito from Crafty Diversions.

Peter itches for some colorwork after seeing the Min Ulla set by Elinor Brown (and then realizes he already has her Vespergyle Mittens on the needles).

The Hot Seat
The pair discuss their favorite things to knit, what finishing techniques they try to avoid, favorite movies, most used handknits, preferred stash organization techniques, and pick a favorite month.

The Red Violin
Away We Go
Cassidy by Bonne Marie Burns of Chic Knits
Herbivore by Stephen West
Cobblestone by Jared Flood

  1. D- Whenever I'm not wearing school or work socks, I'm wearing the ones you made me. Sooooo comfy and surprisingly warm. =] You or Peter are free to make me more socks whenever you want. ;)

  2. I just discovered your podcast recently and have listened to all 3 episodes. Kudos on a terrific job! I will try to put a review on iTunes for you (have never done that before). You bring a fresh outlook to knitting. Both of you have good voices without any distracting speech habits. That is rare in young people today. I also like that the podcast is all talk, no music. Thanks for keeping me occupied on my morning walks. I look forward to hearing many more podcasts from you.
